THE VICAR'S REPORT
After 10 months in post, the Vicar, in conversation with many people in the parish and beyond, has written a report which tries to summarise some of the key issues which face the Parish in the months and years ahead. This is a discussion document which will be dicussed by Church Council Members as well as the congregation. Members of the congregation with constructive comments should address them in the first instance - to members of the PCC. The report can be downloaded here:

COURSES NEW FOR 2007:
START: Discovering Christianity This is a easy but refreshing and stimulating course for those who want to put their toe in the water. It is also part of the preparation this parish expects parents of young children who are to be baptised with us.
LENT....loads on!

During Lent at our services we'll be looking at the 10 Commandments and using J Jon's Book to help us along the way.
Why not follow the sermons by studying with the book too?

MISSION THEMES: In our home groups we'll be looking at our Mission and how to revitalise it. Church growth is important, not only in terms of numbers, but also in terms of spirituality and prayerfulness. This 4 session study will help us along the way.

In our parish there are many people who take on serious and awesome responsibilities: those who lead public prayers, those who are baptism visitors, funeral follow-up visitors, Lay Eucharistic Ministers and so on. These people share an important ministry alongside that of our Parish Priest. No-one would expect our Priest to be without training, and this also applies to those who exercise a ministry within this parish. This 6 session starter course is based on resources developed by the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich and is part of the training which all those in ministry in our Parish are expected to undertake.
